Yates Dial-A-Ride
Yates Dial-A-Ride was established in August 1976 as a demand-response system operated by Yates Township in Lake County. Transportation services are provided to over thirteen adjacent townships. In addition to its regular service, Yates Dial-A-Ride provides transportation to the area human service agencies, senior centers, and essential transportation for its residents with disabilities.

US10 Corridor Run to Ludington: Every Thursday

Once a week on Thursday, one of our buses will pick up passengers at their locations in Lake County and will transport them to Ludington, arriving at the Ludington Walmart at noon. The return ride leaves Walmart at 4:00 pm. Transportation in the Ludington area must be arranged by the passenger. Please provide at least 48 hours of advance notice by contacting us at 231.745.7311.
US10 Corridor Run to Reed City: Once a month-every 1st Tuesday.

On the first Tuesday of each month, one of our buses will pick up passengers at their locations in Lake County and will transport them to Reed City, arriving at the Depot at noon. The return ride leaves the Depot at 4:00 pm. Transportation in the Reed City area must be arranged by the passenger. Please provide at least 48 hours of advance notice by contacting us at 231.745.7311.
***Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and executive orders from Michigan’s governor, all riders will be expected to properly wear a face mask that covers the mouth and nose when riding a YDART vehicle. Riders will not be allowed to board without properly wearing a mask. Hand sanitizer will be provided for riders as they board the YDART vehicle. Dispatchers will ask a series of health screening questions at the time the passenger calls for a ride. Call us at 231.745.7311 if you have any questions.***
- YDART (Yates Dial-A-Ride) requires exact fare when boarding the bus. The drivers do not carry change.
- YDART passengers must be prepared to board the bus at the designated pick up location. Time is extended to customers with disabilities.
- For reasons of safety, YDART passengers are limited to certain items and the amount that can be brought on board the bus in one boarding. Groceries must be in bags or boxes large enough that groceries are not over the top. Plastic bags must be tied closed. All passengers are limited to three bags or two boxes that can be placed on or near their lap. YDART passengers are also limited to one 30 gallon size bag of clean cans or bottles. These too must be placed on or near the passengers lap. They cannot be in an adjacent seat or aisle for reasons of safety.
- YDART will allow service animals on board its buses. Service animals are working animals, not pets. They are individually trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities such as guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf or pulling a wheel chair. Pets in approved enclosed carriers are allowed.
- Passengers who temporarily de-board the bus will be charged another fare.
- It may be necessary to make several stops before your destination to accommodate other passengers.
- YDART will make every effort to serve you during adverse weather conditions. Delays and cancellations are possible.
- YDART requests prior notification when you cancel a ride. If YDART responds and receives a “No-Show”, the customer will be expected to reimburse YDART before they can ride again.
- Objectionable odors from any source unavoidable by other passengers will not be permitted.
- YDART does not allow eating, drinking, smoking, vulgar language nor will we tolerate any type of violence, threats, intimidation, destruction of property or insubordination.
- YDART demands that passengers conduct themselves in an acceptable manner at all times. Any lewd or indecent behavior is unacceptable. Failure to comply will result in immediate removal.
- No weapons, illegal drugs, hazardous materials or other dangerously-deemed items will be permitted on the bus.
- YDART has the right to temporarily or permanently ban passengers from service when it is necessary.

MECOSTA COUNTY
All routes in Mecosta County are Demand Response. While there was interest in Route Service, the use does not justify the cost of this type of service. In an effort to be a good stewards of the trust placed in MOTA we have converted both Routes to Demand Response.

Adult Fares
The standard fare for adults is $2.00 per ride.
Senior Fare*
Senior Fare rate is $1.00 for those 60 and over.
Children Fare*
The fare rate for Children is $1.00 for those between 6 and 16. Children 5 and under ride for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Disabled Fare*
The fare for ADA qualified riders is $1.00 per ride.
SENIORS OVER 80*
Seniors over 80 years old now ride for FREE
VETERANS*
Veterans of any age ride for $1.00. Thank you for your service!

MOTA operates Monday – Friday from 5 am to 7 pm and on Saturday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to reflect actual use of our service. We look forward to reinstating the lengthened hours in the future when demand warrants it.
